Descendants of O'Doherty Clan to Reunite
DERRY - The Dohertys, O'Dohertys, Daughertys, Dochertys and O Dochartaighs of the world are converging on Derry and Inishowen in the summer for a 10-day clan gathering. A wide variety of events will be held in Derry city and throughout Inishowen between July 1 and 10.
The primary reason for staging the event this year is to commemorate "the last Irish chieftain," Cahir Rua O'Doherty, who was killed on July 5, 1608. For more information about the reunion, visit: www.odochartaighreunion.com.
